Father Howe meant the world to our family! From seeing him everyday at lunch in the basement of St Johns to prayer meetings in our home, he was our guiding light who always pointed us in the direction of Jesus. No matter what we were going through...Father Howe would listen intently and reassure us with a Godly answer. I thank God for giving us such a wonderful priest to grow up with because all six of us grown children have been influenced by his actions and service to the Catholic Church and beyond. Our families are blessed because of him! When dad told me he died, my first thought was... He is up in heaven with mom and they are both smiling. I will never forget you Father Howe!

I grew up with Father Howe and prayer meetings at our house on Charles Street, when he walked in I knew "God" was in the house, Jesus had brown hair hair, he must be God with his silver hair! Loved him so much and he baptized both my kids in Lima.....he was like family and I know he is laughing with my Mom Judy right now. God Bless!!

Fr. Howe was truly a disciple of Christ, humbling living by example. He has been very much apart of my family for over 50 years; celebrating my First Communion, Marriage, Baptisms of our children, to presiding over my mother´s funeral-always there for us, knowing exactly what to say at the right time in such a calm gentle loving manner. That´s Fr. Howe. He was a living Saint walking in our midst. I´m so thankful to have been blessed knowing such a beautiful soul. If every priest was like him, everyone would be Catholic!
Rest in Peace Fr. Howe, your job was well done
