BLUFFTON -- Janice P. Shafer, 91, passed away December 11, 2023 at the Manor of Greendale, Findlay. Janice was born March 13, 1932 in Williamstown, Ohio to the late Orville and Ocie (Hermon) Shafer.
Janice retired from Triplett Corporation in Bluffton and was a member of the Beaverdam Church of Christ, the Bluffton Senior Citizens and the Share-a-Talent Club. She volunteered at Bluffton Hospital and enjoyed bowling, knitting and crafting. Janice loved being a part of the "Vance Street Roadrunners".
Survivors include a sister, Jeanette Lamb Wuebbeling of Findlay and several nieces and nephews.
Janice was preceded in death by nine siblings, Gale Shafer, Rex Shafer, James Shafer, Bob Shafer, Wayne Shafer, Nellie Ruebush, Lucille Steiner, Dorothy Shafer and Esther Shafer.
Janice's services will begin at 10:30 a.m., Friday, December 15, 2023 at Chiles-Laman Funeral & Cremation Services, Bluffton. Pastor Sam Wireman officiating. Burial will be in Harman Cemetery near Gilboa following the service. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Beaverdam Church of Christ.
