My good buddy Bobby's mom.She was my girlfriend in my little 13 year old mind in '86,and Doug caught me looking at her stirring cool aid once, and he grinned big,and giggled at me with a grown man's understanding of a young boy in awe. In the same year,'86,she took Bobby and I to Sunshine Freestyle surf shop in her Convertible jeep ,and bought Bobby some Tracker trucks,Rector pads, and asked me what I needed. I just shook my head,"nothing ma'am". She was Marilyn Monroe to me,I was always nervous around her. My Dad passed away in '86,and she drove up to mom's house, and gave my Mom a fully cooked Roast that Doug doctored up real good. They talked, and laughed, and became good friends.
She had a good wholesome country type soul, never be another like her.

I just heard about the passing of Jeannie today. I worked with her for years at the Monterey Jazz Festival. We ushered and were on our feet for so many hours. I always marveled at her since she was the only usher in high-heels! She was always cheerful, responsible, and wanted to give as much as she could to support the kids and jazz. R.I.P. Jeannie. We and your Section 6 will miss you!!

I remember our years with the Monterey Jazz Festival in the Usher booth. Jeannie was so active. She was a good friend and helped me before I had to move to Indiana. Doug, I will miss her cheerfulness! Good people!
