We just recently heard about Jeff’s passing. We were shocked and so saddened to hear that he had passed away suddenly. He was a good friend and also ONU board member and Sigma Phi Epsilon fraternity brother. We so enjoyed seeing him when we returned to campus. He always greeted us with a huge smile and a hug. We send condolences to Jeff’s family. Jeff will be so very missed and always remembered fondly.
With sympathy,

I was shocked to receive the email detailing Jeff's passing. He was a great man as well as wonderful teacher. Jeff was always happy and go-lucky, but you could see the wheels spinning when he spoke to you. He was passionate about pharmacy and his students. He had a great sense of humor to go along with his teaching. I must admit, though, that many years ago at an APhA Convention in Miami, we all walked down to South Beach and somehow he left me there (although I was with others). He would always bring up the fact that he left me at South Beach whenever he saw me!!

Sincere condolences on the passing of Dr. Allison. As a former pharmacy student and alumni of ONU, this news saddens my heart. Dr. Allison always had a ready smile and jovial laugh to share with us during the rigorous courses of our PharmD. His office space was welcoming and he just exuded love and light! Prayers for his family’s peace and comfort as they mourn and celebrate the memories of his life.

Dr. Allison was a source of joy and inspiration throughout my time at ONU. He taught me that there is much more to being a great clinician and leader than your GPA. He was a role model on how to engage and empathize with patients. I will remember our discussions and his laugh fondly. His legacy will continue through all of the students he mentored.

Jeff was not only my ONU co-worker but our neighbor three doors down on County Road 50 (Lima Avenue). I loved his positive spirit, his good sense comments on university matters, and treasure the memory of him approaching me about our son, then a junior at Ada High School, taking his daughter, then a senior, to the senior prom. It was a touching moment out of a 19th century novel. Such was Jeff's regard for individuals and their feelings, prerequisite for anyone in pharmacy.

Some people are forever tied to your experiences or the experience a certain place offers to the world. For the ONU College of Pharmacy, that was Jeff Allison. The world lost a cornerstone to many yesterday. Jeff touched the lives of so many who crossed his path, forever leaving lasting memories. He served as a beacon of light in and out of the college of pharmacy walls. He was charismatic, funny, witty and would always go out of his way to say “Hi” to you. I’ll cherish all my memories of Jeff and will never forget his infectious laugh. Deepest sympathies to everyone mourning the loss of a professor, mentor, advisor and friend. May his memory forever be a blessing.

Dr. Allison was a loving and warm presence on Habitat trips, including Honduras, and Emmaus walks. His presence was a gift to me for years while at ONU from 1998-2003.
I remember having to spend a summer in Ada because I needed to take classes and work. Dr. Allison would stop by my apartment unannounced, often, and give me a joke and warm smile. It’s exactly what I needed. He reminded me that I was loved and that I matter in very tangible ways. I really appreciate his energy and depth of compassion. He will be missed dearly, we need more Dr. Allisons.

I am so sorry for your family’s loss. I did not know your Dad but every time I would drive by his home I marveled at how gorgeous and manicured it was. Last year, I finally saw someone working in the yard and told your Dad how I had admired his property for years. Again, I am so sorry for your loss!

Many people will be saying that Dr. Allison was a terrific professor and mentor. True! He was! Graduating alongside the pharmacy class of 1997, we were honored to be be taught by a kind man who truly cared about his students and the profession of pharmacy. From one "Jeff" to another "Jeff" I will always look up to you not only in the profession, but, to the way your lawn and garden have always looked. Your meticulous attention to detail inside and outside the classroom is contagious. I aspire to have the best pharmacy and best lawn in our neighborhood!
Jeff, you will be missed.
I'm so privileged to have known this incredible leader, mentor and friend.

Jeff Allison was a special person. Any time you passed him in the hall and he said hello, you could feel that he was genuinely happy to see you and share a cheesy joke and his one-of-a-kind laugh. He was a fantastic role model for so many pharmacists/educators, and I am so happy to have known him.
My thoughts go out to his close friends and family.
Rest easy, Dr. Allison ❤
