JOANN SHELLHAMMER

LIMA — JoAnn M. Shellhammer, age 82 of Lima, died 10:15 p.m., Monday, June 23, 2014 in her home. She was born July 2, 1931 in Spring Church, PA. She is the daughter of the late Frank and Margaret Townsend Rosenstelle. On May 24, 1951 she married Aubert R. "Al" Shellhammer, who survives.

Mrs. Shellhammer retired as head bookkeeper from the Huntington Bank and then went to work as a real estate agent with Century 21. She attended Elders Ridge High School and graduated in 1949 from Apollo High School. She is a former member of the Realtors Association, the Elks Lodge # 54 of Lima, and the Eagles #370 Auxiliary of Lima. She loved traveling and going to casinos.

Survivors also include a son – Rick (Julie) Shellhammer of Lima; 2 daughters – Cande Shellhammer of Lima; Renee (Jeffrey) Hicks of Florida; 4- grandchildren – Tresa Maples, Denean (Billy) Harbin, Steven (Misty) Shellhammer, and Misty (Frank) Caprilla; 2 step grandchildren – James Ezzell III and Billie Jo Wallace; 8 great grandchildren – Nichlas Maples, Billy Ray Harbin, Carsen Harbin, Steven Shellhammer, Tyler Shellhammer, Madison Shellhammer, Benjamin Caprilla, and Evelyn Caprilla.

She was preceded in death by 2 sisters – LaRue Brown and Buddy Brink.

The family will receive friends from 4:00 – 7:00 p.m., Saturday, June 28, 2014 at Bayliff & Son Funeral Home, Cridersville.
