Judith "Judie" L. Biddle

With deep love and tender remembrance, the family of Judie Biddle of Cridersville, Ohio announces her passing on March 2, 2026, at the age of 86. Surrounded by loved ones, Judie peacefully concluded a life rich in faith, family, friendship, and service to others.

Born on June 19, 1939, in Columbus, Ohio, to Ray and Ethel Wangrin, Judie was raised in Liberty Center, Ohio, where she formed the strong roots that would anchor her throughout her life. After graduating from Liberty Center High School, she continued her education at Davis Business College in Toledo, equipping herself with skills that reflected her natural organization, diligence, and determination.

Judie married her high school sweetheart, James Biddle, beginning a lifelong partnership built on love, loyalty, and shared purpose. They were long-time residents of the Lima area, becoming deeply involved in the local community. Together, they created a home centered on hospitality and family. She was a devoted and deeply loving mother to her daughters, Jennifer and Julee, to whom she dedicated the majority of her life with endless patience, sacrifice, and pride. Her greatest joy was caring for her family, and she did so with boundless strength and quiet love.

Over the years, Judie also found time to serve her community as a Girl Scout leader for her daughters, a founding member of the Lima Campus Ladies' Association, and as an active member of the Red Hat Society. She and Jim also made a lasting impact on the nurses in training from Apollo Career Center, many of whom lovingly cared for Jennifer and Julee for several years. Those relationships became deeply meaningful, and Judie cherished the caregiver community, especially caregiver Jen Altman who, along with her husband, Brandon, became Judie's "roomies" near the end of life.

Judie had a gift for making a house a home. She delighted in tending her many flower beds, filling her surroundings with beauty and color. An avid crafter and accomplished baker, she was known for her Christmas cookies, which found their way into the hands and hearts of countless friends and family members each year. She was the perfect hostess, always ready to welcome others with warmth and generosity.

She never forgot a birthday or holiday, faithfully sending cards and thoughtful gifts to those she loved, keeping the local Hallmark in business for years. Judie was a loyal fan of The Ohio State Buckeyes football team and shared her enthusiasm with others, often along with a side dish of political opinions, but always with a main course of love.

Judie was preceded in death by her parents, her beloved husband Jim, and her treasured daughters Jennifer and Julee.

She is survived by her best friend and sister, Kay Rackiewicz (Dan); her loving brother, Gary Wangrin (Cheryl); many nieces, nephews, in-laws, dear community friends; her cherished friends in the caregiver community; and her faithful and furry companion, Benji.

In keeping with Judie's wishes, her celebration of life will be small and limited to family and closest friends. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Shawnee Alliance Church, 4455 Shawnee Rd, Lima, OH 45806, or to the charity of your choice.

To honor Judie's memory in a way she would truly appreciate, you are encouraged to send a Hallmark card to someone you hold dear, a simple gesture that carries forward her lifelong tradition of thoughtfulness and connection.

Judie's legacy is one of steadfast and loyal love, generous hospitality, spirited determination, and faithful friendship. The warmth and love she brought to the lives of others will endure for generations to come.
