Rosetta May "Rosie" Johns

Delphos, Ohio, formerly of Lima

Rosetta M. "Rosie" Johns, age 88, was called home to her Lord at 8:00 p.m. on Sunday, March 1, 2026, at The Meadows of Delphos, surrounded by her loving family.

Born on August 1, 1937, in Clay Township, Ohio, Rosie was the daughter of the late Melvin Ray Lawrence and Sarah D. "Dolly" (Johnson) Lawrence Donnal. She married the love of her life, Donald Isaac "Jack" Johns, on September 28, 1968; he preceded her in death on August 3, 1995.

Rosie had a passion for crafting, particularly in creating personalized cards for her friends and family for various occasions. Her greatest joy came from her family and her church community. A devoted member of the Pentecostal Bethlehem Tabernacle Church, she cherished her role as a Sunday School teacher.

She is survived by her daughter, Rosemary Rose (Michael Carder) Nichols of Delphos; her son, Paul Duane (Janie) Johns of Lima; grandchildren, Roy (Tabitha) Hale of Dupont, Justin (Roblyn) Isaacs of Lima, Steven Nichols of Lima, Damian (Mary Burns) Gleason of Lima, and Jacob Traucht of Lima; great-grandchildren, Issacc Purdy, Sierra (Zach Hines) Hale, Amber (Hunter) Longbrake, Alex Hale, Dylan Brown, Justin (Malia) Isaacs, Jr., Nathean Isaacs, and Abbigale "Abby" Isaacs; great-great-grandchildren, Elizabeth, Abby, Melanie, Claire, Xavier, and Brantlee; and a brother, Russell Lawrence.

In addition to her parents and husband, Rosie was preceded in death by her stepfather, Russell Ray Donnal; daughter, Janet Cummins; son, James Lewis "Jim" Johns; sisters, Barbara Jean Ramlow, Marie (Howard) Cramer, Martha (Harold "Bo") Kleman, Dixie (Charles) Bradley; brother, Rev. Don (Dorothy) Donnal; and infant brother, Alvan Donnal.

Services celebrating Rosie's life will begin at 4:00 p.m. on Monday, March 9, 2026, at CHILES - LAMAN FUNERAL AND CREMATION SERVICES, SHAWNEE CHAPEL. Rev. Matthias Snodderly will officiate. The burial of cremated remains will be later at the convenience of the family.

The family will receive friends from 1:00 to 4:00 p.m. on Monday, March 9th, before the service at the funeral home.
