M. Anne Makley

Margaret Anne (Walsh) Makley age 98, of Lima passed away 9:39 a.m., Monday, March 2, 2026, at her home. She was born on September 5, 1927, to the late William P and Doretta (Schoof) Walsh. She married Max Lamar Makley October 28, 1950, and he preceded her in death May 5, 2005.

Anne worked at St. Rita's until she was 80 years old where she enjoyed helping people and made many friends. In her spare time, she enjoyed trips with the senior citizens and making quilts and pajamas for people in need. She will be remembered for her smile and tender heart.

Survivors include children: Judy Carpenter of Elida, Joyce (Thomas) Rossi of Sidney, Dode Makley of Lima, Kay (Michael) Cooper of Byrdstown, TN and John Makley of Lima; 8 grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by siblings: John, Robert and William Walsh and Virginia Ebner.

The family will receive friends 10:00 to 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, March 10, 2026, at St. Charles Catholic Church and a memorial celebration of life mass will follow at 11:00 with Father Kent Kauffman officiating.

Memorial contributions may be given to The Lima Rescue Mission, Camp Robin Rogers or the LCC Scholarship Fund.
