Wava Pearle Makley

Wava Pearle Makley, 69 of Lima, passed away February 10, 2025, at Mercy Health - St. Rita's Medical Center.
Wava was born July 8, 1955 in Lima, to Robert Eugene Sr. and LaDonna (Githens) Parsons, who preceded her in death. On December 22, 1990, she married Randy Makley, who survives her in Lima.
Wava was a graduate of Elida High School and she went on to further her education at Lima Community College. She attended school in Columbus to work as a prison guard at Oakwood Correctional Facility. Wava most recently worked as a paint technician at AAP. She loved being outside, especially gardening, and she enjoyed sewing, painting and other crafts. The Lord held a special place in her heart, and she loved going to church. Wava had a caring heart and was a good person inside and out. Most of all, she loved spending time with her family, and she will be deeply missed by everyone who had the pleasure of knowing her.
In addition to her husband, Wava is survived by her children, Kerri May (Jack) Bowen and Casey Tice; step-children, Josh (Christy) Makley, Jesse Makley, Charity (Jeff Kinkle) Makley and Zach (Veranda Yager) Makley; 23 grandchildren; many great-grandchildren and her brothers, Daniel Parsons and Earl Parsons.
In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her step-son, Joey Makley; sister, Sandy Lybarger and her brother, Bob Parsons
Funeral Service will be held at 12:00 PM on Friday, February 14, 2025 at CHILES-LAMAN FUNERAL & CREMATION SERVICES - SHAWNEE CHAPEL. Burial will follow in Ash Grove Cemetery.
Visitation will be held from 10:00 AM until the time of the service at the funeral home.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Crossroads Crisis Center.
