Thomas P. "Tom" Kesner

Thomas "Tom" P. Kesner, 76, passed away on March 18, 2026, at 12:11 p.m. at Mercy Health - St. Rita's Medical Center.

Tom was born on November 24, 1949, in Lima, Ohio, to John Kesner and Patricia "Pat" (Kriegel) Kesner, who both preceded him in death.

Tom graduated from Lima Central Catholic High School and honorably served in the United States Marine Corps for three years. After his service, Tom developed a deep passion for aviation as a pilot and worked diligently to become a captain. He enjoyed a long and fulfilling career flying with Executive Jet / NetJets, which allowed him to travel the world.

Tom cherished the time spent with his family, fellow military servicemen and pilot friends, valuing their camaraderie and shared experiences. He was an avid fan of the Ohio State Buckeyes. Above all, Tom deeply loved his daughter, Nicole, and treasured being an active part of his grandchildren's lives.

Survivors include his daughter, Nicole (Jeffrey "Jeff") Scott of Grand Rapids, Michigan; grandchildren, Harper, Mason, and Brooks; brothers, John (Lisa) Kesner, Jerome "Jerry" (Julie) Kesner, Paul (Julie) Kesner, Gary Kesner, Joseph "Joe" Kesner, and David (Cindy) Kesner; sisters, Carol (Greg) Rockey, Shelley (Paul) Johnson, Patricia "Patty" Kesner, Marylou (Aaron) Marlatt, and Julie (Jeff) Van Fossen; and his aunt, Mary Ann Kriegel.

He was preceded in death by his brother, Stephen "Steve" Kesner.

A Celebration of Life will be held at 12:00 p.m. on Monday, March 23, 2026, at Chiles-Laman Funeral Homes, Shawnee Chapel, with burial to follow at Salem Westminster Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 10:00 a.m. until the time of service on Monday at the Shawnee Chapel.
