Jon Ciminillo Obituary

LIMA -- Jon Christopher Ciminillo, 60, passed away at 3:08 p.m. on Tuesday, January 18, 2022, at the Miami Valley Hospital. Jon was born on October 11, 1961 in Lima, Ohio to Lewis and Vera (Paglow) Ciminillo.

Jon was a graduate of Shawnee High School and attended Hobart Institute of Welding Technology. He had been working at ASAP Storage for the last 20 years and has also been an auctioneer and car salesman. He owned his own lawn care service, serving all his neighbors and becoming good friends with them. As a loving son, he was the primary caregiver to his mom for the last 20 years before her passing in 2021. Jon enjoyed being active, cooking, watching movies with his mom, playing cards with Max and Patti. He enjoyed spending time with his family and friends and talking with them on the phone. However, his beloved daughter and granddaughter were his entire world.

He is survived by his daughter, Tricia (Douglas Vondrell) Ciminillo; granddaughter Camryn; sisters: Mary Jo (Daniel) Gast, Constance (Tom) Ford, Patricia (Ray) Ciminillo-Hicks, Rebecca Ciminillo-Keys, and Renee Jayne; brothers: Jeff (Lorraine) Ciminillo, Dan (Kris) Ciminillo, Greg (Lisa) Ciminillo, Scot Ciminillo and David (Julie) Ciminillo; 45 nieces and nephews; 74 great-nieces and nephews (and counting); 23 great-great- nieces and nephews (and counting); and special friends: Max, Tim, Dwayne, Joey, Bill, Mark, Shell (Little Girl) and special neighbor, Tommy Gorh.Along with his parents, he was preceded in death by his brothers: Robert Lewis Ciminillo, James Anthony Ciminillo and Randal Paul Ciminillo; brother-in-law, Patrick Keys; sister-in-law, Lula Faye Ciminillo; infant nephew, Daniel Gast; and great-niece, Tara Cutlip.

The family will receive friends from 2 – 4 p.m. and 6 – 8 p.m. on Tuesday, January 25, 2022 at Chamberlain-Huckeriede Funeral Home, Lima, Ohio followed by a Wake Service at 8 p.m. with Father David Ross officiating. The Mass of Christian Burial will begin at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, January 26, 2022 at St. Charles Catholic Church. Father Kent Kaufman will officiate. Burial will follow at Gethsemani Cemetery, Lima.
