My cousin Traci has said it best, "my heart hurts for your loss". My memories always go to the many joint family birthday celebrations we had when I was a child. With mine at the end of May and my brother's and Uncle Jon at the beginning of June, it was a tradition; cake, presents, Aunts, Uncles, cousins, grandparents and fun. I will always remember my Uncle Jon as a gentle, loving and caring man with an easy smile and yes, a twinkle in his eye. As the years passed he reminded me more and more of his father and my Grandpa, Ralph Rex. They both shared all these qualities, but most of all they were men who unconditionally loved their families. Now that our Heavenly Father has gathered Uncle Jon into his loving arms where he is free, I know his beautiful family will carry on the characteristics and traditions he and Aunt Diana have built over the years: gentleness, kindness, unconditional love, and yes, the tears over time will be snuffed out by that twinkle in your eyes...in his honor, carry on.

Kristi and family. I am so sorry for your loss. It is never easy to see your Dad or anyone you love go. I pray that you will find peace in the promises of our Lord and Savior and will hold onto the love that you shared with him in your memories.

My heart hurts for your loss. I think of Uncle Jon as the quiet, strong man with a humorous twinkle in his eye. I remember him taking the time hitch up a buggy to a pony and how rough that ride was without shock absorbers. He was very kind and patient as I hung around a lot when I moved to Ohio. He always seemed to want to be active outside the house, in the yard or the barn. He built a lot of wonderful things over the years but didn't toot his own horn. He left that to Aunt Diana but I think he was proud of the home he helped make with Aunt Diana. His greatest achievement was the family he built with Aunt Diana. My love to all the family. May the Lord comfort you.
