Jose Maldonado Obituary

LIMA -- Mr. Jose Manuel Maldonado, Age 73, passed from this life on Friday, May 5th, 2023 at approximately 4:30 PM at Lima Memorial Hospital in Lima, Ohio.

Jose was born January 8th, 1950 in San Jose de La Popa N.L. Mexico to the union of Manuel and Elvira (Gutierrez) Maldonado, both also deceased.

Jose attended school and worked in Hidalgo N.L. Mexico. Then he migrated to the United States where he finally settled in Ohio where other family members had settled to live a better life.

He met the love of his life, Virginia Pina. They were wed March 30th 1974 and established their home and raised their four children in Findlay, Ohio.

He is survived by his Reina, Virginia(Pina)

He leaves to cherish his legacy four children; Victoria Maldonado (Justin) of Lima, Maria-Elena Williams (Timothy,(d)) of Cincinnati, Ohio, Jose M. Jr.(Angela) of Lima and Juan Antonio Maldonado of Lima. One brother Noe Maldonado of Mexico and one sister Celina(Jose) of Mexico. He was preceded in death by three brothers; Sixto(Anita), Roberto(Petra), Hugo(Fela). Three sisters; Elvira, Herlinda(Jose), Celia(Gilberto). A host of grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins, aunts, uncles and other relatives and friends.

In 1993 he was led by the Lord to move his family to Lima Ohio. During this time he began his volunteer and humanitarian work throughout Allen and surrounding counties. Continuing his service in the church he became ordained and proceeded to not only volunteer but to lead and show others of the Love of God. His passion for helping other ultimately led him to create the very first 501c3 Non-Profit Metal Recycling Center; Jose and Sons Recycling Incorporated in Lima, Ohio.

Jose was an avid fisherman who loved to fish out of the Maumee River for catfish at Grand Rapids.

He loved to cook. He enjoyed his Cowboys movies.

He Loved sharing his words of wisdom. He loved to travel to Mexico.

He loved to work and never stopped until the job was done.

He loved his family and friends and left a positive impact in everyone he knew.

Memorial Services will be held at 6:00 PM on Monday May,15th at Bayliff and Son Funeral Home, in Cridersville, Ohio where the family will receive family and friends from 11:00 AM until the service at 6:00 PM. Memorial Contributions may be made to the family. Online condolences can be made on the funeral home website, www.BayliffAndSon.com.
