LIMA — Joseph Hittle, 39, of Lima, passed away on Thursday, November 4, 2021, at St. Rita's Medical Center. He was born on May 19, 1982, in Lima to William Hittle and Kathleen {Cox} Hattery, who both survive him. On April 15, 2005, he married Melissa Harrod, who also survives him in Lima.
Joseph was a 2001 graduate of Lima Senior High School and a 2012 graduate from UNOH. He was a metal fabricator for Browns Industrial and enjoyed working on cars constantly and watching the Michigan Wolverines and the Miami Dolphins. He loved his wife and children above all else and always put others before himself. He was exceptionally hard working and treated anyone he just met as family.
In addition to his parents and wife Melissa, he is survived by his sons: Keaten (Mikielah) Hittle, Zachary Hittle, Ian (Kaylyn) Hittle, and Ethan Hittle; brothers: Corie Hittle, Chad (Lisa) Hittle, Josh (Tina) Hittle, and Gabe (April) Hittle; sisters, Aymie Hittle and Sarah Hittle; mother-in-law, Rebecca Harrod; brothers-in-law, Joseph Harrod and Tim (Maelene) Harrod; and several aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, and nephews.
His family will receive friends on Tuesday, November 9, 2021, from 2-6 p.m. at Chamberlain-Huckeriede Funeral Home, Lima, where a funeral service will follow at 6 p.m.
