DELPHOS -- Joseph James Loetz, 59, passed away February 15, 2024 at his residence in Van Wert, OH.
He was born October 8,1964 in Lima to William R. and Vera C. (Strayer) Loetz. Both preceded him in death. He is survived by three sisters, Caroline Mason of Lexington, KY, Kathleen (David) Calvelage of Englewood, FL, and Susan (Larry) Grothouse of Delphos, OH, and one brother, William Loetz of Windsor, OH, and dozens of nieces and nephews. Joe was preceded in death by one sister, Nancy (Norm) Vondran of Venice, FL, and two brothers, Carl (Rosalyn) Loetz of Powell, OH, and Rodney (Charlotte) Loetz of Archbold, OH.
Joe worked 40+ years at Thomas Edison in Van Wert, OH, and he dearly loved the administrators and his co-workers. An avid Ohio State Buckeye and Delphos Jefferson fan, you would often see him riding his bicycle while adorned in his sports apparel. Joe had a beaming smile and enormous heart. Everyone that knew him loved him. He was a member of St. Peter's Lutheran Church.
Visiting hours will be on President's Day, Monday, February 19th, 2024 from 4:00-8:00pm at Weber Funeral Home in Delphos. And again Tuesday from 9:30 am until 10:30 am. at the church prior to the funeral service.
The funeral service will be at St. Peter's Lutheran Church on Tuesday, February 20th, 2024 at 11:00am. Burial to follow in Walnut Grove Cemetery, Delphos, Ohio.
Memorial contributions may be made to St. Peter's Lutheran Church.

Grief can be so hard, but our special memories help us cope. "Broadway Joe", we had so many great times on the bus trips to the ball games. You were a great guy & a great friend. You always made the best hand with the cards you were dealt. Love ya Brother, Rest Easy!
