LIMA -- Joyce G. Kohl, 84, of Lima passed away at 1:55 Am on Friday, August 8, 2024 at St. Rita's Medical Center.
She was born on December 25, 1939 in Lima, to Earl and Beatrice (Carter) Huysman, who both preceded her in death. On July 26, 1958, she married Donald Kohl, who preceded her in death on October 3, 2015.
Joyce worked and retired from the family business Snow Printing Co. She was a member of St. Gerard Catholic Church, the Eagles Aerie 370 and the Senior Citizens Choir Club. Joyce enjoyed gardening, swimming, antique hunting, RV traveling, weekly luncheons with friends and watching grandchildren's sporting events. She was deeply loved by her family and friends and will be missed dearly.
Surviving are her three sons Daniel (Jennifer) Kohl of Lima, Richard (Tammy) Kohl of Columbus and Russell Kohl of Lima; her grandchildren Tayler (Matthew Mulligan) Kohl of Columbus, Allie (Andrew) Norton of Lima and Brandon (Hailey) Kohl of Columbus; her great-grandchildren Savannah Norton, Aria Kohl, Cecelia Norton, June Joyce Mulligan and Trenton Kohl. Also surviving are her sisters Carol Kohl and Phyllis Cloyd both of Lima,
She was preceded in death by her son Gregory Kohl; her brothers Clarence, Gene, Bob, Ralph, Fred and Jim Huysman; her sisters Betty Yant and Sandy Jay.
The family will receive friends from 2:00 PM to 6:00 PM on Sunday, August 18, 2024 at Chiles-Laman Funeral & Cremation Services, Shawnee Chapel.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00 AM on Monday, August 19, 2024 at St. Gerard Catholic Church, 240 W. Robb Ave, Lima.
Interment in Mt. Tabor Cemetery will immediately follow.
Memorial Contributions may be made to Lifeline of Ohio.
