COLUMBUS -- Judy Ann Langstaff, 77, of Columbus, OH passed away peacefully at home on February 15.
Judy was born in Lima, OH on November 17, 1947 to Donald C. and Joan M. (Weaver) Langstaff. Judy attended Central Junior High School and graduated with the Lima Senior High School class of 1966. She served as vice-president of her graduating class and was an Eastern Star.
Following high school, Judy studied at Ohio Northern University and The Ohio State University, where she earned her degree in elementary education. Judy worked as a teacher in school districts across Ohio. She later ran a successful tutoring business where she continued to foster self-esteem and academic skills in her students.
First and foremost, Judy was a mother and grandmother. Her family was the most treasured thing in her life. Her boundless love and unwavering commitment to them was undeniable.
She is survived by her sisters Linda Martin and Susan Monfort, and her children Heather McCoy, Matthew Butler, and Andy Butler, grandchildren Kiersten, Jilian, Taylor, Kalee, Wyatt, Sam, Julianna, and Jude.
She was preceded in death by her parents and former spouse, Steve Butler.
The family will hold a private memorial service.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations be made in Judy's name to the American Heart Association. Condolences may be shared at rutherfordfuneralhomes.com.
