Don, Claire and Rebecca,
Renae and I wish to express our deepest regrets and empathy. Karen was more than a dear friend to Renae; she was an intimate and bossom friend, like unto a sister. I know that Renae will deeply miss her. I will miss and remember her joy, laughter and tenderness.
The loss that you and the girls have is beyond words. We embrace you with our prayers. It is our joy, knowledge and desire that we in Christ will be together again forever.

Karen was the sister I never had. We would spend special "girl time" together when she & Claire & Rebecca would meet me at Cracker Barrel for meals & fun during the summer & Christmas time. She was an anointed prayer partner & blessed me beyond measure. She loved the Lord, Don, Claire & Rebecca with all of her heart & was there with loving care for her sisters, Kathy & Kris, her friends & especially her students. We were born in the same year & were less than a month apart in age. I will miss our chats & her hearty laughter as well as well as her loving hugs. I texted her about Heaven before I knew she was about to leave us. Gary Wood (garywoodministries.org), died in a car wreck & went to Heaven (he's now back). A warm feeling drew him out of his body. He saw angels & Jesus & the Lamb's Book of Life. Gary's boyhood friend, who died earlier, took him on a tour of Heaven. Glory was everywhere!! Gary met up with his relatives. Later he was sent back to earth to tell his testimony to others.Karen loved this story as it gave her great peace. I know our Redeemer lives in our hearts,& Karen has met Him face to face!

She walked in faith but more importantly, let it be known through her words and by her actions. I loved reading the words in the obituary about how in her last days, she felt so blessed by the love she was receiving. I truly believe she felt God all around her because of the endless prayers she was receiving. And He was ready to receive her. We suffer a great loss and will miss her voice, her laugh and her smile. We will miss watching the perfect way she cared for and loved her students. And seeing her face light up when she talked about the accomplishments of her girls who she couldn't love ANY more than she did. Karen was a rock and now she will be able to look down on us all and protect us from above as the Angel she has been to us already. We love you Karen and miss you so much.

Karen you were a great friend, co-worker, and my grandson's first teacher. Kraft school and playground will not be the same without your constant vigilance where our students are concerned-Only a reminder of your loving heart and caring nature for all the children. Your husband and girls will now have a guardian angel to watch over them! You will be missed so much by many!! Love you Karen! Veronica Jansen

Dear Donald, Claire & Rebecca,
We are truly sorry for your loss. Though there will never be a substitute for a Mother's love and a wife's devotion, may you find comfort in knowing that Karen loved her family and always hoped the best for you all. Karen was a coworker at Continental Local Schools. We drove to school together, we laughed, cried and prayed together many times. She was a great friend! She was a caring teacher to so many students in Continental. I know many remember her laugh and great oral reading skills! She could tell a great story. She will be missed. Till we meet again, Sisters in Christ! Jill
