Kathy Flippin Obituary
WAPAKONETA -- Kathy Flippin, 73, of Wapakoneta, passed away at 4:44 p.m., Tuesday, August 16, 2022 at her residence surrounded by her loving family.
She was born on December 15, 1948 in Wartburg, TN to Walter & Loraine (Norman) Hopkins who preceded her in death. On November 4, 1967 she married Gary D. Flippin and he passed away on September 4, 2019.
Survivors include two daughters, Kelly Vandermolen of Piqua, Stacey (Chad) Hefner of Wapakoneta; 5 grandchildren Halley (Zachary) Hunsaker, Payten Vandermolen, Kayla, Harper and Hadley Hefner; a great-grandson Parker Hunsaker; two sisters Pat Martin, Chris Dotson and several nieces and nephews.
Kathy was preceded in death a brother Bill Hopkins and a sister Dorothy Adkins.
Kathy was a 1967 graduate of Lima Senior High School. Spending time with her family was very important to her. She enjoyed crafting and was a member of the VFW 8445 and Eagles 370.
Funeral services will begin at 11:00 a.m. Friday August 19, 2022 at Schlosser Funeral Home & Cremation Services, Wapakoneta with Rev. Sean Wilson officiating. Burial will follow at Memorial Park Cemetery, Lima. Family and friends may call from 10:00 a.m. until the time of the service.
Memorial contributions may be directed to Alzheimer's Association.
