LIMA — Kenneth W. Merriman, age 75, of Lima passed away Thursday, June 24, 2021, at Kindred Hospital.
He was born May 23, 1946, in Dola, Ohio to the late Sherman A. and Anna Belle (Hibner) Merriman.
He married Patricia A. 'Patti' Griffith Nov. 13, 1965, and she survives in Lima.
Ken retired from Trinity Industries where he had been a Nut and Bolt Cold Form Leader.
Family was very important to Ken, family camping trips, long drives with Patti and monthly luncheons with his siblings were among some of his favorites. Ken also likes to read and watch TV, ice skating in the Olympics, Wheel of Fortune, American Ninja Warrior and the news.
Additional survivors include 4 sons: Kevin of New Haven, CT, Keith (Trish) of Galloway, OH, Kyle (Dawn) of Mt. Vernon, OH and Krist (Hilda) of Hillsboro, OH, 13 grandchildren, and siblings: Philip Merriman of Lima, Lowell (Tressa) Merriman of Lafayette, OH, Darlene Bell and Rita (Roy) Rogers both of Lima.
He was preceded in death by siblings Chas Merriman and Bonnie Hoy.
Friends and family are welcome to come and share a memory Wednesday from 4 to 6 p.m., at Bayliff & Son Funeral Home, Cridersville.
Military rites will be observed at 6:00 p.m.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be given to The American Lung Association or the charity of the donor's choice.
