DELPHOS -- Laurie Lynn Casebolt, 62, of Lima, passed away Monday, August 4, 2025 at Lima Memorial Hospital.
She was born May 22, 1963 in Lima to Norbert 'Nub' and Dorothy (Miller) Grothause. Her dad preceded her in death, her mom survives in Delphos. On April 28, 1990 she married the love of her life, Stephen P. 'Steve' Casebolt who preceded her in death April 17, 2023.
Laurie is survived by a brother, Chris (Jane) Rode of Delphos; three sisters, Annette (Terry) Ralston of Spencerville, Genean (Doug) Corwin of Lima, and Peggy (Tom) Williams of Delphos; and a sister-in-law, Maria Grothause of Van Wert. She is also survived by Steve's family, in-laws, Blaine Casebolt, Ron (Gloria) Casebolt, Raleigh (Kyle) Casebolt all of Lima, Mike (Kay) Casebolt of Wapak, Patti (Patrick) Dougherty of Texas; step-in-laws, Jeff, Paul, Dave and Becky Burnett; and many nieces and nephews and great-nieces and nephews.
She was also preceded in death by a brother, Duane Grothause; niece, Elise Corwin; in-laws, Lawsie and Sarah (Hopper) Casebolt; and brother-in-law, Blair Casebolt.
Laurie was a 1981 graduate of Delphos St. John's. She attended Ohio State Beauty Academy where she was certified as a beautician; and Rhodes State College, where she was certified as a respiratory therapist. She had worked as a beautician and then began her career at St. Rita's as a respiratory therapist, finishing her career at Lima Memorial Hospital retiring in 2022.
A Funeral Mass will begin at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, August 9 at St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church, the Father Tony Vera officiating. Burial will follow in Resurrection Cemetery, Delphos.
Visitation will be from 2:00-7:00 p.m. on Friday at Weber Funeral Home, 1840 E. Fifth St., Delphos, where a Parish Wake Service will be held at 6:45 p.m. Memorial contributions may be made to a charity of the donor's choice. Online condolences may be shared at www.weberfh.net.
