Lucille Jordan Obituary

LUCILLE JORDAN

CRIDERSVILLE — Lucille Jordan, age 89, passed away April 25, 2016, at 3:51 pm, at her residence, surrounded by her family.

She was born September 5, 1926 in Tinsley, KY, to the late Charley and Lilly (North) Jones. Lucille married Victor Jordan on August 30, 1947 in Bell County, Kentucky who preceded her in death.

Lucille is survived by 6 sons: Richard (Bessie) Jordan, David (Carolyn) Jordan, Larry (Paula) Jordan, Danny Jordan, Shelby (Karen) Jordan and Craig (Julie) Jordan, 17 grandchildren and 25 great-grandchildren.

She is preceded in death by an infant daughter and a son, John Jordan. She is also preceded in death by her four brothers: Kelly Jones, Murphy Jones, Jim Frank Jones, D.C. Jones and a sister, Sudie (Paul) Brown, all of Pineville, Kentucky.

Before retiring, Lucille worked at Lima Memorial Hospital in the housekeeping department. She was always known for her wonderful cooking, big gardens, and her quilting skills. Lucille was totally devoted to their seven sons and will be deeply missed by them all. She was a member of the Lima Missionary Baptist Church.

A funeral service will be held on Thursday, April 28, 2016 at 12 noon at the Lima Missionary Baptist Church on Yoder Rd. Officiating the service will be Pastor Terry Brock and Rev. Donnie Smith. She will be laid to rest at Fairmount Cemetery in Waynesfield, beside her husband Victor.

Friends may call on Thursday at the church from 10:00 am until 12 noon.

Many thanks for the compassionate care provided to our mother in her final weeks, by the Aides and Nurses from St. Rita's Hospice, with special mention of Mom's favorite, Jackie. Memorial contributions may be made to the Lima Missionary Baptist Church.

The family has entrusted the CHILES-LAMAN FUNERAL AND CREMATION SERVICES, SHAWNEE CHAPEL in assisting them with funeral arrangements. Condolences may be expressed at chiles-lamanfh.com
