COLUMBUS GROVE — Mack J. Schroeder, 63, died on Thursday, April 22, 2021, at his residence.
He was born September 22, 1957, in Lima, to Ralph and Beatrice (Mack) Schroeder. They both preceded him in death.
On July 14, 1979, he married Elaine J. Vennekotter, and she survives near Columbus Grove.
Mack is survived by his three sons and one daughter: Kurt (Sara) Schroeder; Lucas (Erin) Schroeder; Neal (Megan) Schroeder; and Corissa (Kevin) Fair. Also surviving are five grandsons and two granddaughters. He is also survived by close family friends, Cory and Abigail Hartzog and sons.
Mack is also survived by his brothers and sisters: Gerald (Donna) Schroeder; Michael (Rita) Schroeder; Karl (Loraine) Schroeder; Virginia Vennekotter; Teresa (Gerald) Maag; Constance (Nickolas) Schroeder; Mary (Albert) Maag; and Wayne (Judy) Schroeder. He was preceded in death by one brother-in-law Larry Vennekotter and one sister-in-law Karen Vennekotter.
Mack attended St. Anthony School and graduated in 1975 from Columbus Grove High School. He furthered his education by participating in numerous mechanical and technical programs. He worked with his father at Schroeder Tractor in Columbus Grove. Mack owned and operated Schroeder Sewer Services with his family.
He also worked for Schroeder Plumbing and Heating, Columbus Grove. Mack was proud to have served as a Pleasant Township Trustee for 36 years. The most important thing to Mack was his family, and living a life trying to always do what he believed was right.
Mack was an active member of St Anthony Church, Columbus Grove, serving wherever needed, during festivals and other church activities.
Visitation for close family and friends will be 9:00-11:00 a.m. on Monday at St Anthony's Church, Columbus Grove. Services will begin at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, April 26, 2021 with Father Steve Schroeder officiating. Burial will be in St Anthony Cemetery, Columbus Grove, Ohio.
