GALION -- Marian Linn Huggins, 92, passed away on November 10, 2025, at Mill Creek Nursing Home in Galion. Marian was born on April 10, 1933, to the late Pearson and Dorothy (Spiegel) Linn in Bucyrus.
After graduating from Holmes Liberty High School in 1951, Marian pursued higher education at The Ohio State University, where she earned her Bachelor's Degree in Education in 1955.
She married the love of her life, Dr. Thomas K. Huggins, on September 11, 1954. Together they shared 36 wonderful years of love and devotion until his passing on May 18, 1990.
A longtime resident of Galion, Ohio, Marian was a lifetime member of St. Paul United Methodist Church, where she left a lasting impact as a Sunday school teacher, pianist, organist, and a member of the choir. Her faith and devotion to her community were evident in her many roles, including service on the Fairview Cemetery Board, the Galion Building and Loan Board, the Galion Public Library Board, Board president of the Galion YMCA, volunteering at the Red Cross, and her involvement with the auxiliary at Galion Hospital (TWIG #5).
Marian's love for learning and adventure led her to earn her pilot's license, a testament to her adventurous spirit. She embraced her hobbies with enthusiasm, from skiing to volunteering, always striving to make a positive difference in the lives of those around her. She cherished her children and doted on her grandchildren, who brought her immense joy.
Left to cherish her memory are her children, Laura (Mark) Spradley, Dr. Tyler (Caryl) Huggins, and Nita Huggins, her grandchildren, Dr. Ples Spradley, Dr. Ty Spradley, Victoria Spradley, Dr. Pearson Huggins, Dr. Evan (Rebecca) Huggins, and Lauren Huggins, sisters, Joy Taylor, and Pauline Limbach, sister-in-law, Mary Ann (John) Boorn, as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
Along with her parents and her husband, Marian is preceded in death by her brothers-in-law, Kenneth Taylor and Ed Limbach, Jim, Charles, and Bill Huggins, as well as their spouses.
Friends may call on Friday, November 14, 2025, from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM at Gompf Funeral Service-Galion Chapel, 303 Portland Way North, Galion. Service will immediately follow at 1:00 PM with Pastor Don Ebert and Pastor JP Snyder officiating. Burial will follow at Fairview Cemetery.

So sorry to hear about Marian. I worked at Mill Creek then and she was on my hall. We talked many times about her Holmes Liberty days where my mother went also. She was a joy to help and always worrying about me working too hard lol. My deepest Sympathies to the whole family.
