Michael Contris

1945 - 2022

HARROD - Michael "Mike" L. Contris, age 76, passed away February 4, 2022, at 7:15 pm, in the Lima Memorial Health System E.R.. Mike was born February 11, 1945, in Lima, OH, to Donald M. and Velma (Cheney) Contris who preceded him in death. On December, 30, 1992, he married Cathy J. (Morris) Contris who survives in Harrod.

Mike was a 1963 graduate of Auglaize Local High School. He had worked his entire life as a farmer and a self-employed business owner. Mike was a member of the Christian Assembly Worship Center in Lima. He loved watching NASCAR and attending the Allen County Fair and he always enjoyed a good Kewpee. Above all else, he loved spending time with his family and his dog "Marley".

In addition to his wife, Mike is survived by his 7 children: Brad (Annette) Contris of Harrod, OH, Kelly Heinzel of Sarasota, FL, Angie Deeds, Kim (Joe Gossard) Holliday, Christina (Jon) Bodine, Barb Holliday and Ben Contris all of Lima, OH, 21 grandchildren and 18 great grandchildren.

There will be a funeral service held on Wednesday, February 9, 2022 at 11:00 am at the CHILES-LAMAN FUNERAL AND CREMATION SERVICES, EASTSIDE CHAPEL. Officiating the service will Pastor Rich Biclawski and good friend Robert Evans. Burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery following the service. Friends may visit on Tuesday from 2-4 and 6-8 pm and then again on Wednesday from 9-11 am at the EASTSIDE CHAPEL.
