OTTAWA – Michael D. Cramer, 65, of Ottawa, passed away at 4:37 p.m., Sunday, December 31, 2023 at Blanchard Valley Medical Center, Findlay. He was born February 7, 1958, in Fostoria to the late Harry and Anne (Waldron) Cramer. On August 21, 1982, he married Lucy Kennedy, who survives in Ottawa.
Other survivors include two children: Douglas (Kasie Suman) Cramer of Fostoria and Corinne Cramer of Columbus; and four siblings: Daniel (Cyndi) Cramer of Belleville, IL, Cathy Ferkel of Claire, MI, Harry (Sherry) Cramer of Edmond, OK and Paula (Kirkman) Layne of St. Mary's.
He was also preceded in death by a son, Timothy Cramer; a brother, Kenny Cramer; a Godchild, Ian Willson; and a brother-in-law, Rick Ferkel.
Michael graduated from St. Wendalyn, Fostoria in 1977 and earned his Bachelor's Degree from The University of Toledo. He was a retired teacher and football coach. Michael loved all sports, especially golf, was an avid Notre Dame fan and enjoyed landscaping. He was a member of Sts. Peter and Paul Catholic Church, Ottawa.
Funeral Mass will begin 11:00 a.m., Saturday, January 6, 2024 at Sts. Peter and Paul Catholic Church, Ottawa with Fr. Scott Kramer officiating. Burial will be at a later date. Visitation will be held from 9 to 11 a.m. on Saturday at the church. Arrangements are under the direction of Love Funeral Home, Ottawa.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Sts. Peter and Paul Parish Life Center, Ottawa, O-G Titans Stadium. Condolences may be expressed at www.lovefuneralhome.com
