Dr. Dobbins was the best lecturer I have ever heard in forty one years as a nurse.

May 4, 2014

What a great loss. Condolences to all family members. I Just found out today. It is up to the rest of us to continue to carry the torch of education with humour, wit and articulation regarding the benefit of whole food supplements. I recently missed his last seminar up in Portland last year....of course one expects to catch him " next time". This will not now happen. He taught me a lot in the field of clinical nutrition over the last 15 years; teachings that I can honestly say I use daily in some form or another with my patients. God Bless Mike. He'll be singing and lecturing upstairs now. Thankyou again to his family for sharing his talents.

My deepest condolences to his family. I just learned of his passing today and am deeply affected by it. Dr. Dobbins, through his nutrition seminars, provided me with the skills that I needed to profoundly improve the health of my patients. His healing spirit is very much alive because it is weaved into so many doctors' practices. He continues to have positive impact as so many people are healed because their doctors were taught by Michael. Michael was such a gift....and, because he shared his wisdom with us, he continues to give. Thank you Michael and thank you to Dr. Dobbins' family for sharing him with us.
RIP.

Dr. Dobbins, or "mdobbins", as I have known him, was my anonymous Words With Friends friend since April 2012. I started a game with who I thought was my sister (same first name initial and last name), but soon learned it was not my sister. Mdobbins and I played nearly every single day since then. We didn't know each other's names. We didn't dig into personal lives. We simply enjoyed the games, taking particular delight in snagging triples away from each other for a big score. In reading his obituary, I find myself wishing I would have known him "in real life." I can only image he would have enriched my life by the way he touched so many others. I will miss him. Thank you, Andrew, for replying to my message to your father. May you and your family find peace through The Lord during this difficult time.

I met Michael in 1990 at a SP lecture he was giving in Berkeley. Over the years I attended 9 of his lectures the last one a month ago near Portland. I wanted to experience one more Michael Dobbins lecture and touch bases with him and I am grateful I did. He was the best health lecturer ever.

I only knew Michael for a short time, and had the benefit of lectoring with him at St Joseph's. Michael was both a highly skilled lector with a voice as smooth as silk, as well as an outstanding individual. He was a very giving person, who oftentimes did double duty during mass as a lector and a choir member. I take comfort knowing that he is now with the Lord, our God.

So sad to hear of Dr. Dobbins' passing. What a loss to our profession and most certainly to those he knew and touched with his wisdom and humor. Heartfelt condolences to his family.

December 11, 2013

This man has been one of my mentors for many years. I started attending his seminars in KC, MO 19 years ago or 16 years ago--I remember because I was pregnant (just can't remember which child now). Dr. Dobbins teased me because I had my feet propped up and looked like I was about to "pop". His knowledge was and still will be astounding and something I will treasure. I learned so much from him over the years. Thank you to his family for sharing him with the rest of the world. You, his family, were his world. He always shared stories and his eyes lit up when he spoke of you all!!! May you find peace with each day and hold your memories close in your heart. My most sincere condolences. I will always consider myself blessed to have met Dr. Dobbins and receive his healing support and life-changing treatment at a very critical time in my life. Before that I had been suffering for years with chronic pain from a work injury which had left my whole system weak and depleted. I remember with amazement how his expert diagnosis and treatment literally "lifted the fog" hanging over my brain/body functions and gave me my life back. I will be forever grateful. My heart goes out to his family and hope you find some comfort in knowing how many he has touched over his many years of devoted practice.

A great loss to his family, friends and devoted followers. Thank you for your passion and wonderful teachings!

December 8, 2013

While we will grieve for him and miss him on earth, as one who has trusted in Jesus Christ alone for his salvation, Michael is now enjoying God's presence for all eternity! Knowing Michael as I did, I bet he's especially enjoying the music and singing, like of which we have but a hint of here on earth at best. Dr. Dobbins was my favorite nutrition teacher and introduced me to the difference and importance of whole food nutrition at my first seminar with Standard Process in Toledo, OH back in the late 1990's. His teachings empowered me to build the nutrition side of my practice and help thousands of people as a result. My thoughts and prayers are with his wife and family now and forevermore.

Sorry for your loss

God our Father,
Your power brings us to birth,
Your providence guides our lives,
and by Your command we return to dust.

Lord, those who die still live in Your presence,
their lives change but do not end.
I pray in hope for my family,
relatives and friends,
and for all the dead known to You alone.

In company with Christ,
Who died and now lives,
may they rejoice in Your kingdom,
where all our tears are wiped away.
Unite us together again in one family,
to sing Your praise forever and ever.

Amen.
