FINDLAY – Michael G. Wortman, 56, of Findlay, passed away Monday, April 11, 2022, in Findlay as a result of an accident at his work place.
He was born June 15, 1965, in Lima to Robert W. Wortman and Rose M. (Wrigley) Hager. His dad preceded him in death. His mother survives in Delphos. On April 10, 1997, he married Holly (Anderson) Wortman who survives in Findlay. They had just celebrated their 25th Anniversary.
Michael is also survived by his children, James (Julie) Wortman of Baldwinsville, NY, Robert (Tiffany) Wortman of Shepherdsville, KY and Melinda (Jerrod) Pahssen of Sidney; siblings, William (Cheryl) Wortman of Ohio City, Ann (Gregory) Pepiot of Delphos, Robert (Kathy) Wortman of Delphos, Mark (Louise) Wortman of Parma, ID and Richard Hager of Cairo; 11 grandchildren; and furbabies, Ally and Grace.
Michael was a maintenance technician at Rumpke since July 2021, and previously was as a truck driver/mechanic for Findlay Truck Line. He enjoyed camping, hiking and anything outdoors with the family and all things history. Michael was a wonderful son, husband, dad, grandfather and brother. He always was available to help, never knowing a stranger.
A funeral service will begin at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, April 16 at Weber Funeral Home, 1840 E. Fifth Street, Delphos. Vicar Carol Pretorius will be officiating. Burial will follow in Greenlawn Cemetery, Wapakoneta.
Visitation will be from 3:00-8:00 p.m. Friday and one hour before the time of the service Saturday at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to Hereditary Hemorrhagic Telangiectasia (HHT) research. Online condolences may be shared at www.weberfh.net.
