LIMA -- Michael Evan Yaeger, 70, passed away at 10:25 pm on February 24, 2024, at his home.
Michael was born on April 30, 1953, in Ashland, Ohio, to Ervin B. "Whitey" and Goldie L. (Byrd) Yaeger.
Michael graduated in 1972 from Lima Senior High School and went on to earn an associate degree in Pre-Hospital Healthcare. He then worked for Lima Allen County Paramedics and Delphos Ambulance. Michael was the Patient Transport Coordinator for Upper Valley Medical Center in Piqua, Ohio. He was also a car salesman at Lima Lincoln Mercury & Reineke Ford. He attended St. Rose Catholic Church and was a member of Eagles #370, Sons of The American Legion (SAL), and Jaycees of Lima/Delphos. Michael was also a member of The West Central Ohio Paramedic & Nurses Association where he was a past president, treasurer, and secretary.
He is survived by his three children: Michael Ervin (Jennifer) Yaeger of Buckeye Lake, OH, Melinda Elaine (Scott) Farling of Pandora, OH, and Christopher James (Angie) Yaeger of Glandorf, OH; seven grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; brother, Robert Yaeger of Cincinnati, OH; sister, Karinda Yaeger of Florida; and stepsisters, Judy Felton of Missouri & JoAnn Linn of Florida.
He was preceded in death by his parents; brother, William Yaeger; sister, Shelia Barth; brother, Mitch Yaeger; infant brother, Joseph Yaeger.
The family will receive friends from 4 pm to 8 pm on Friday, March 8, 2024, at Chamberlain-Huckeriede Funeral Home, Lima, Ohio. A funeral mass will begin at 11 am on Saturday, March 9, 2024, at St. Rose Catholic Church. Fr. David Ross will officiate. Burial will follow at Memorial Park Cemetery, Lima.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Lima Memorial Cancer Center.

You only had to meet Mike once and that smile popped each and every time to greet you. Over the years, I met Mike several times I. Emergency services. Funny and uplifting! May he Rest in Peace!!!!

I met Mike through Karinda and Bobby decades ago! He was a great guy and lots of fun. I will definitely miss his smile!
