Nancy Hughes Obituary

COLUMBUS GROVE -- Nancy J. Hughes, 72, of Columbus Grove, passed away Thursday, February 20, 2025 at her home surrounded by her family. Born on June 20, 1952, in Lima, Ohio to Vernon and Mary Irwin Hughes.

She was a Columbus Grove High School graduate, member of the Columbus Grove Christian Church where she served as Deacon, Trustee, Church Secretary and Church Treasurer. She was also a Sunday School teacher. Nancy worked at the Putnam County Job and Family Services for 34 years. She enjoyed watching Ohio State football, fishing, bowling, and keeping the books for the Maxx Boxx Softball Team. She loved spending time with her family and friends and spoiling her grandchildren. She especially loved to attend all the girls sports and activities.

She is survived by her son Kacey (Melissa) Hughes, two grandchildren, Karlie, and Myra, and her sister Cheryl Hughes.

Private family graveside services will be held at a later date with Pastor Geoff Eubank officiating.
