HARROD -- Norman Dale Cramer age 89, of Harrod, passed away Feb. 5, 2022 at Vancrest of Ada. He was born March 1, 1932 in Lima, Ohio to Dallas Norman and Blanche L. (Sawmiller) Cramer. On April 28, 1951 he married Barbara Louise Smith, who preceded him in death of February 6, 2021. On April 28, 2021 they would have been married 70 years.
Norman graduated from Alger High School in 1949. He retired after nearly 40 years as an iron worker, a member of Dayton Iron Worker Local 290.
He enjoyed hunting and fishing and was an avid antique collector. He and his wife did many antique shows and flea markets. He loved collecting Fenton glassware and old lamps.
Norman is survived by four children: Wanda Criblez of Bluffton, Ohio, James (Sheila) Cramer of Lima, Penni (Walter) Nixon of Ross, Ohio and Ronald (Rachel) Cramer of Rushsylvania, Ohio; 8 grandchildren who include: Lance (Diana) Criblez of Harrod, Stacy (Tommy) Agler of Lima, Jessica (Jason) Meyers of Ross, Ohio, Terri (Doug) Brown of Indianapolis, Brittany (Steve) Grothouse of Lafayette, Kelli (Matt) Smith of Ross, Ohio, Brant Engle of Lima and Alex Cramer of Bellefontaine; 15 great grandchildren: Lauren, Gabe, Eli Criblez, Bryce, Blaine Belcher, Chloe Agler, Spencer, Edan Brown, Addy, Hudson and Paige Grothouse, Ella, Dillon Meyers and Eliza, Kenzie Smith; and 2 sisters: Lura Allen and Myrtle Dell.
He was preceded in death by a son-in-law Mike Criblez, a granddaughter Megan Criblez-Crowe and a sister Dorothy Conley along with his parents.
A private family service will be held at a later date and memorial contributions may be made to the charity of the donor's choice.
