Roger knew my mother Jane who worked at PK Lumber in Lakeview. Roger gave me my first job in the trucking industry restacking pallets that had fallen over in the trailers.
43 years later and I´m still trucking as Corporate Transportation Manager.

I just learned of Roger´s passing today. Roger was a kind hearted man who helped many people and organizations over the years. I´m in Cripple Creek, Colorado today reminiscing of a week long trip I took with Roger almost 30 years ago to Colorado Springs, Colorado in his quest to collect some coins and see the west. We panned for gold on that trip and found a few specs. Rest in peace Roger and thanks for the great memories.

April,Adam, and Aaron, I´m so sorry for your loss. Uncle Roger was a very strong willed guy. When I think of him and mom together, they were laughing. Mom always said they had to walk to school in the snow and poor little Roger didn´t even have mittens! Then they´d get to school and it was closed, but they didn´t have a radio so they didn´t know. lol, that´s probably a bit of an exaggeration coming from mom, but it´s a story that comes to mind when I think of your dad. We were also told that my dad and your dad got into an actual knock down drag out fight over Elvis when he first came out. Dad said he was going to be big and Roger said he was just a flash in the pan, hmmmm. Peace be to you and your families

Roger and the Wright family have been business associates from the early fifties. I remember going with my father to paint lettering on Otis's tractor in his back yard. I remember Roger being seven years older than me, I often saw him working with his dad and brothers. Time passed and our paths crossed again when I worked at P & G and we became friends as well as each others business customers. After my father passed on, I picked up his sign customers and yes there was Otis Wright Trucking. I continued to do lettering for all of Rogers enterprises, including all of his Ohio State License Plates and pickup trucks. Through all this time I just didn't consider Roger a customer any more, he was a friend, a buddy, someone who shared life's experiences, a good joke, and gave you advice when needed. He was one of the last business people
that a hand shake was as good as a contract. I'll miss him as a good friend.
Bless you Roger for everything, Prayers for Your Family.
P.S. If you need any more license plates done, drop me a note and I'll leave them by the front door. Good Bye Friend.

For as long as I known Roger and that has been since I was 9 years old He was always on the go working . Never a dull moment. . He said he would never retire and he did not. . He always use to tell me . You have to be custom. And drink plenty of water . We would always laugh after he said that . There's so many memories and life lessons I have learned through out the years and I will forever be grateful .. He will be forever missed

April Adam Aaron so sorry to hear of the passing of Uncle Roger. He was always a happy guy and when last he talked to Cecil he was very concerned about her care. We told him she was being well cared for and he said she better listen to us they had a good laugh over that. Rest assured Roger lived a good life.
