PATSY METZGER
LIMA — Patsy L. Metzger, age 82 of Lima, died at 10:54 p.m., Sunday, June 1, 2014 at Lima Memorial Health Systems. She was born February 19, 1932 in Jackson Center, Ohio; the daughter of the late Arley and Helen Zwiebel Gross. On July 2, 1950 she married Luther E. Metzger, Sr. who died April 4, 2011
Mrs. Metzger was a super sales representative with Avon for about 40 years, which she loved. She was a member of the Zion Lutheran Church in Lafayette and a former member of the Farm Bureau.
She is survived by 3 sons – L. Eugene (Linda) Metzger, Jr. of Portland, Oregon; Kenneth L. (Janet) Metzger of Harrod, and James E. (Daisy) Metzger of Harron; 9 grandchildren; 15 great grandchildren, 1 step great grandchild; a sister Twyla M. Hughes of AZ and faithful caregiver for over 2 ½ years Tracy Parks.
Funeral services will begin 10:00 a.m., Friday, June 6, 2014 at Bayliff & Son Funeral Home, Cridersville. The Rev. Jim Webb will officiate. Burial will follow in St. Matthew Cemetery near Cridersville.
The family will receive friends from 2:00 – 4:00 and 6:00 – 8:00 p.m., Thursday at the funeral home.
Memorial contributions may be given to WTGN Radio Station, 1600 Elida Road, Lima, Ohio 45805.
