MILLER CITY -- Paul J. "Spin" Rosengarten, 73, of Miller City passed away peacefully, surrounded by his family at 8:51am Friday, May 23, 2025, at Mercy Health St Rita's Medical Center, Lima. He was born on March 29,1952, in Lima to the late Arthur and Thelma (Niese) Rosengarten. On October 12,1974 he married Becky Verhoff. Together they celebrated 50 years of marriage last fall.
Also surviving are 3 children: Kurt (Nicole) Rosengarten of Miller City, Mindy (Erick) Gracely of Elida, and Seth (Yolanda) Rosengarten of Miller City; 4 granddaughters: Ava and Kyla Rosengarten, and Raegan and Leah Gracely; and 6 siblings: Bill Rosengarten of Lima, Dianne (Norm) Schulte of Kalida, Dick (Janet) Rosengarten of Hamler, Bonnie (LeRoy) Kahle of Miller City, Keith Rosengarten of Miller City, and Nancy (Eric) Duling of Findlay.
Spin retired from General Motors in 2004, after 38 years of service. He was a member of St Nicholas Catholic Church, Miller City.
Spin graduated from Miller City High School in 1970. He graduated from Bailey Technical School, St. Louis, MO in Automotive and Diesel Technology. He was a member of the Ottawa K. of C. and the Miller City Sportsman's Club. He served on the Miller City Volunteer Fire Department for 10 years. He enjoyed Miller City sports and was a member of the Miller City Athletic Boosters. He also donated the press box for the Miller City High School soccer field. He enjoyed happy hour at the Buckeye Club, and he was a dedicated OSU fan. He was also an avid hunter and enjoyed his southern Ohio hunting trips.
Spin enjoyed spending time with his granddaughters and family. Spin was a Maumee River Rat for over 50 years where he enjoyed boating and sitting around a campfire with friends and family.
Spin's funeral mass will be 10:00 a.m. Wednesday, May 28, 2025, at St. Nicholas Catholic Church with Father Scott Perry officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. Visitation will be Tuesday from 2:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. and again on Wednesday from 8:45 a.m. to 9:45 a.m. at the Love Funeral Home, Ottawa.
In lieu of flowers, the Rosengarten Family requests that donations be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital at stjude.org.

So sorry about Spin. Prayers for your family. I remember our days at oakwood walking and talking about your kids and Spin. I will never forget our trip to KS.my thoughts and prayers will be with u in the days ahead.
