Wow still remember some of the things that happened when Ben and Bill got together. Sure liked to listen to Ben tell tales of things that had happened to him, and sometimes Bill was involved.
Miss those two guys, but both of them are in my heart.
RIP

Ben came from a very large family. His many brothers were Vietnam Veterans, whom he served with while stationed at Detachment 3, 6994th USAF Security Squadron, Nakhon Phenom, Thailand. I am proud to say that I was one of those many brothers who served with Ben at tech school in San Angelo, at San Vito dei Normani, Italy and then at NKP during the Vietnam War. Ben was a proud and loving American, Airman, and family man. Although these past few years had been difficult for him, he was hoping to join me in San Angelo this March for the placement of his commemorative paver at the Weyendt-Eddy EC-47 Memorial Plaza located on Goodfellow AFB, in San Angelo. I intend on being there and will proudly honor him at the ceremony which he richly deserves, along with some of his fellow servicemen. I thank God that Ben will be there with me in spirit to receive those honors, as we have always been, and will always be brothers in arms.

So sorry to hear of this. Our families were the best of friends back when we were kids! Every weekend, parents playing cards, us having a blast just hanging out. Phil & Thelma were such great people and Ben was always so sweet! Mike was the ornery one.
