SPENCERVILLE -- Rachel Ann Berelsman, 28, of Spencerville passed away Sunday, October 5, 2025.
She was born October 30, 1996 in Van Wert to Michael and Cynthia (Hoffman) Hiett who both survive in Venedocia. On August 5, 2023, she married Kyle Berelsman, who survives in Spencerville. They became parents on July 14 to their son, Lane. Kyle and Lane were the loves of her life.
She is also survived by a brother, Jay (Sara) Hiett of Venedocia; sister, Staci (Scott) Kill of Spencerville; grandparents, Jerry and Kathy Hoffman of Elida; in-laws, Dennis (Sandra) Berelsman of Landeck, Katie (Christian) Stechschulte of Columbus Grove, Kelsey Berelsman of Landeck; grandfather, Art (Doris Horstman) Rode of Landeck; nieces and nephews, Halle, Luke and Kendall Kill, Letty and Myles Hiett, and Harper and Silas Stechschulte. She was also survived by numerous aunts, uncles, cousins and friends who loved her dearly.
She was preceded in death by her grandparents, Thomas R. and Janet V. Hiett, Pat Rode, and Linus and Leona Berelsman.
Rachel was a 2015 graduate of Spencerville High School, then graduated with a Bachelor's of Science in Dietetics from Bluffton University. She was a Consultant Dietitian for several area nursing homes. Rachel was the party planner and organizer, also an accomplished gift giver. A clean house was her hobby. She was selfless, thoughtful, generous and helpful, putting everyone else before herself. She loved her dogs; and spoiled her nieces and nephews. She was beautiful inside and out. Rachel, known to her family as ARAH, Aunt Rachel, Rachy and Rach, was a loving daughter and an awesome wife, mom, sister, aunt, niece and granddaughter.
A Funeral Mass will begin at 10:00 a.m. on Thursday, October 9 at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church, Landeck. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
Visitation will be from 2:00-8:00 p.m. on Wednesday, October 8, and 8:30-9:30 a.m. before the service on Thursday at Weber Funeral Home, 1840 E. Fifth St., Delphos.
