RAYMOND EMBERLING
WAYNESFIELD — Raymond L. Emberling, 69, passed away at 11:25 p.m. November 2, 2013 at Shawnee Manor. He was born on May 19, 1944, in Lima, to Art Emberling & Margaret Wheatley Emberling Huffman, who have preceded him in death.
Ray was a retiree of General Dynamics Land Systems and Accubilt. He was a Mason and also an active member of the Eagles, prior to a disabling stroke that he suffered in November 2002.
Survivors include a grandson, Barry Emberling Jr., of Lima; two sisters, Cheryl & Eric Blacksmith, of Mohave Valley, AZ and Sondra Emberling; his guardian & cousin, Barb Longbrake, of Elida; an uncle, Kenny Earl, of Waynesfield; and several other cousins.
He was preceded in death by a son, Barry Emberling Sr., and his grandparents, whom he made his home with as a child, J.J. "Milt" & Marybelle Wheatley.
A memorial service will begin at 4 p.m. Sunday, November 17, 2013 at CHILES - LAMAN FUNERAL & CREMATION SERVICES, SHAWNEE CHAPEL. Lyn Arnold will officiate. Friends may call one hour prior to the services Sunday at the funeral home. Burial of his cremated remains has taken place in Memorial Park Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to a charity of the donor's choice. Condolences may be expressed at www.chiles-lamanfh.com
