Richard Cole Obituary

LIMA - Richard G. Cole Jr., 69, of Lima, Ohio, passed away on July 3, 2023. Born on October 6, 1953, Richard, known affectionately as Dick, was a beloved individual who will be deeply missed by all who knew him.

Dick was a man who spoke his mind and had a well-rounded perspective on life. He was known for his loving and caring nature, always ready to lend a helping hand to those in need. Dick also had a great sense of humor and was often the life of the party, bringing smiles and laughter wherever he went.

In his personal and family relationships, Dick leaves behind a legacy of love and cherished memories.

He is survived by his wife, Staci Miles, and their children, Loren, Chloe, Jullian, Bazil, and Jenna. He also leaves behind his grandchildren, Brooklyn, Lorenzo, Laynia, Silver, Emerson, Harrison, Paisley, Branson, and Kamden. Dick is also survived by his brothers, Eli, Robby, Dan (Tana), and sister Dalpha (Jeff). He will be fondly remembered by his nieces and nephews, Shaun (Megan), Melisa (Donnie), Lisa (Kyle), Jessica Cole, Ashlie (Gene), Brittany, and Michael (Brianne), as well as many great nieces and nephews.

Dick was preceded in death by his mother, Carmen Cole, and father, Richard G. Cole Sr.

Professionally, Dick's career spanned several notable achievements. He spent many years at Ford Motor Company before becoming the proud owner of Cole Construction and Mi Ride LLC.

A celebration of Dick's life will be held on August 27th from 2 pm to 5 pm at Hart Hall, located at 1658 W Breese Road, Lima, Ohio 45806.

In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that contributions be made in Dick's memory. Details on where contributions can be made will be provided at a later time.

Dick will be remembered as a kind-hearted individual who touched the lives of many. His memory will be cherished by all who had the privilege of knowing him.

Well I don't like this. Sorry Dick, we didn't get together one more time to talk. Dick would ride his bike to my house, put me on the handlebars and ride back to his house which was a way. We tried to put a group together and would sing those great 60's hits like Little black egg and Journey to the center of your mind. All those days practicing in his garage where he grew up. His mom was the best, Dad was always intimidating but gracious. What a loss, best to those he leaves behind and to a friend, God speed. Till we do meet again.

So many memories of Dick and his family. He played lead guitar in our band way back in our day. Practiced at his house.
Ran into him at least once a year at the rallies in the square.
Always catching up. Rest in peace old friend.
