LIMA — Robert L. Fetters, age 87 (now everyone knows his age) of Lima, passed away Wednesday, Dec. 9, 2020, at 2:21 p.m. at his residence following a sudden illness.
He was born Oct. 6, 1933 in Celina, to Robert and Evaun (Jenkins) who preceded him in death.
On Dec. 28, 1989, he married Cathy Ann McElroy who survives. Also surviving are his daughter, Vicky (Steve) Treadway of Helen, GA; Cathy's children: Brian (Joshua Finn) Graham and Angela (Frank) Robinson both of Lima; his siblings: Melissa (Bill dec'd) Putt of Lima, Susie (Bill) Kruse of Columbus and Terry Fetters of Cadillac, MI; Cathy's mother: Betty (Tom dec'd) McElroy; and Cathy's siblings: Jim (Sandi) McElroy, Fred (Diane) McElroy, Linda (Bob dec'd) Decker, Theresa (Elvis) Mault, Kelly Jo (Tim) Whitaker and Barb (Leonard) Staley all of the Lima area; plus two grandchildren, Dustin (Jessie) Snook and Wendy (Kyle) Evans; one step-grandchild, Baustin Cheney; and the following great-grandchildren: Abigayle Snook-Brown, Hailey and Logan Evans and a great-great-granddaughter, Ember Rose; and his two special companions, Peanut and Bunny.
Robert was an auctioneer and real estate broker, having started Fetters Lima Auction Real Estate in 1952 and finally pounding the gavel for the last time in 2015. He sold over 7000 auctions.
He was a past member of Lima Noon SERTOMA and Fort Amanda Lodge No. 706 F. A.M.
In keeping with his wishes, there will not be any services. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Deb's Dogs, 1560 Wonderlick, Lima, OH 45805. Condolences may be expressed to the family at www.chiles-lamanfh.com.

He always had a smile n something to say. He'd single u out in his auction crowd n knew in particular he would embarrass me with calling out my given name. And did with a smile and that infectious laugh of his. We will miss him. Our sincerest sympathies to Cathy n family.
