ROBERT McGRAW
LIMA — Robert J. McGraw, 86, died at 2:22 AM on Sunday, February 23, 2014, at St. Rita's Medical Center, Lima, Ohio.
Robert was born on March 11, 1927, in Lima, Ohio, to the late Dennis J. McGraw and Mary Louise (Stoll) McGraw.
Robert married Althea B. Coyne on April 7, 1951. She preceded him in death on July 8, 2009. He served in the United States Army during WWII. He was a member of the Lima Eagles Aerie #371 and past treasurer of Lima Right to Life. Robert was a die hard fan of both the Detroit Lions and Detroit Tigers. He also enjoyed golfing.
He is survived by: three daughters, Christine (James) Brado, of Springfield, VA, Kathleen "Kathy" McGraw, of Westerville, OH, and Mary Pat (Edward) Helvey, of Westerville, OH; four sons Thomas (Kathleen) McGraw, of Elida, OH, John McGraw, of Lima, OH, Brian (Karen) McGraw, of Winter Springs, FL, and Philip McGraw, of Lima, OH; 10 grandchildren, Matthew Brado, Katie Brado, Ryan McGraw, Kevin McGraw, Alex (Alison) McGraw, Elaine McGraw, Daniel McGraw, Michael McGraw, Andrew Helvey, and Megan (Brian) DeAtley; two great grandchildren Rebecca McGraw, and Brendan McGraw; two brothers Richard McGraw, and Dennis McGraw; a sister Mary Pentenburg.
The family will receive friends from 3:00 PM to 7:00 PM on Wednesday, February 26, 2014 at Chamberlain-Huckeriede Funeral Home. A Rosary service will follow at 7:00 PM.
A Mass of Christian Burial will begin at 10:00 AM on Thursday, February 27, 2014 at St. Rose Catholic Church with Father David M. Ross officiating.
Entombment will be in Gethsemani Cemetery Mausoleum, Lima, Ohio.
