DELPHOS – Robert W. 'Bob' Ricker, 83, of Delphos, passed away Thursday evening, November 17, 2022 at Mercy Health St. Rita's Medical Center surrounded by his loving family.
Bob was born May 10, 1939 in Van Wert County to Leonard and Lenore (Stechschulte) Ricker. On February 10, 1962 he married Angela E. (Kuhlman) Ricker who survives in Delphos.
He is also survived by three children; Cheryl (Ben) Neumeier, David (Jennifer) Ricker and Eric (Stacey) Ricker, all of Delphos; Frannie (Mark) Ellerbrock of New Carlisle, Bob and Angie thought of her as their own. Bob is also survived by a brother, Paul (Sally) Ricker of Defiance; a sister, Betty Kinstle of Elida; nine grandchildren, Alexis (Eric) Short, Paige (Errick Roper) Ricker, Zach (Megan) Ricker, Drew Neumeier, Gwen (Dan Couch) Neumeier, Devin Ricker, Blake Ricker, Brady Ricker and Olivia Ricker, Emily, Maddie and Jonathan Ellerbrock; and his great-grandchildren, Liam and Quinn Short, Leo Fuqua, Harrison and Davie Roper, Lenora and Bowen Neumeier. Bob is preceded in death by his brother-in-law Larry Kinstle.
Bob worked at New Delphos Manufacturing in 1955-1976, and then worked construction for Alexander and Bebout, he retired from there in 1986 due to an accident. After his retirement he became the "Mayor" of Green Acres Campgrounds, Coldwater, Michigan for over 14 years.
He was a member of St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church, the Delphos Eagles and the Delphos VFW. He was also instrumental in starting the fundraising programs for the Delphos Midget Football Program in the early 1980's. Bob enjoyed the "liars" table at Jim's for many years.
A Funeral Mass will begin at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, November 26, 2022 at St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church, with Father Charles Obinwa, officiating. Burial will be at a later date in Resurrection Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 2:00 – 8:00 p.m. on Friday, November 25, 2022 at Weber Funeral Home, 1840 E. Fifth St., Delphos, where a Parish Wake Service will be held at 7:45 p.m.

Due to Bob's life long love of woodworking and crafting that he shared with many of his friends, family and community, memorial contributions can be made to the Carpentry and Construction Programs at Vantage Vocational Schools.
