ROBERT E. WEED
CHICAGO, Ill. — Robert E. Weed, of Chicago, Illinois passed away peacefully on May 27, 2017, after a lengthy illness. He was born Dec. 12, 1932 in Boston, Mass. He was educated in Boston schools and attended Harvard University in Cambridge. He later settled in Chicago, where he met his wife, the former Georgia Zerante, daughter of George and Irma Zerante, of Lima.
Robert was owner and president of Contemporary Mica, Inc. where he designed and built furniture. He had a showroom in the Merchandise Mart in Chicago.
Bob, as he was known, spent a lot of time in Lima, which he considered his second home.
Funeral services were held May 30, 2017 in Chicago. A prayer service was held May 31, 2017 at Gethsemani, officiated by Father Kent Kaufman, of St. Charles Parish.

Will surely miss you and Roger on the A Dock, Of Old in Diversey Harbor; many, many great hours, days, weeks, months and Years... Guess I will see you two on the flip side and have another Stoli and cigarette and talk of the old times once more..❤

Georgia...,Just talked with Mindy who told us about Bob....we will both miss him dearly from all the great times we had in our years and summers, as neighbors in Diversey Harbor...We did not know he had such a large family...We are still in quite a "state of Shock and Recovery" from finding out that ROGER is no longer with us in this "Life as we know it" We did not learn about Roger until this past January of 2017....Knowing that Bob was very close to Roger..,Please understand that our Prays and Condolences especially go out to you and Bob's Family...All Good Wishes, Prayers, and Love from Mel & Christan Davis
