Roseann Jackson

1935 - 2025

LIMA -- Roseann C. Jackson, age 89, passed away peacefully on February 24, 2025, at 2:52 pm, at her residence. Roseann was born May 23, 1935, in Lima, OH, to Edward A. and Marie C. (Clancy) Holtz who preceded her in death. On March 15, 1986, she married Ralph D. Jackson who preceded her in death on December 9, 2004.

Roseann is survived by her children: Robert (Janis) Sunderhaus of Lima, OH, Kathleen (Dan) McFarland of Louisville, KY and Carol "Susie" (Kevin) Kriegel of Waynesfield, OH, her grandchildren: Ben (Rachelle) Sunderhaus, Logan Sunderhaus, Kevin Sunderhaus, Sarah (Troy) Eickholt, John (Taylor Harris) Sunderhaus, Amy (Jason) Brackman, Tess (Adam) Wagner, Bobby (Elias Barberan Quierolo) Sunderhaus, Mitch McFarland, Colin (Monica) McFarland, Dylan (Shelby) McFarland and Kevin (Tracy) Kriegel, 20 great grandchildren and her sister, Sister Claudia Holtz OSU of Toledo, OH and numerous nieces and nephews.

Roseann was preceded in death by her first husband, Robert G. Sunderhaus, who passed away on October 6, 1969, her sons: Daniel Sunderhaus and Richard Sunderhaus, a stepson, Ward "Butch" Jackson, siblings: Edward Holtz, Richard Holtz, James Holtz, John "Jack" Holtz, William Holtz and Sister Jeanne Holtz OSU. She also was a auxiliary member of the VFW #1275.

Roseann was a 1953 graduate of St. Gerard's High School. She had worked for 28 years with Westinghouse as a laborer in fabrication, retiring in 1995. Roseann was a lifetime member of St. Gerard's Catholic Church and the Altar Rosary Society and volunteered at church for many different events.

She also was an auxiliary member of the VFW #1275. She enjoyed working puzzles, dominos, cross stitching and spending time working in her yard. Most of all, she loved spending time with her family and friends.

There will be a Mass of Christian Burial held on Thursday, February 27, 2025, at 10:00 am at St. Gerard's Catholic Church. Officiating the mass will be Fr. Mike Sergi. Entombment will be in Gethsemani Cemetery Mausoleum following the service. Friends may visit on Wednesday from 2-4 and 6-8 pm at the Chiles-Laman Funeral and Cremation Services, Shawnee Chapel.

Memorial contributions may be made to St. Gerard's Catholic Church.
