LIMA -- Sandra Jean Blackmore, 90, passed away Tuesday, Dec. 17, 2024. She was born to the late C. Lyman and Margaret Baker. She married Gerald N. Jackson June 25, 1953 and they were divorced. She married Billy M. Blackmore Mar. 22, 1980. They were married 42 years until Bill's death Nov. 7, 2022.
Bill and Sandy moved to Florida shortly after they married and lived there until 1988 when they moved back to Ohio. Sandra worked as a bookkeeper at various businesses in Florida and Lima until retirement. Sandra loved doing counted cross-stitch and was an enthusiastic Nascar fan. Sandra and Bill always had a dog or two. They loved their little poodles.
Sandra is survived by daughter Laurie and son-in-law Larry Bales of Findlay, Stepson Dave (Katie) Blackmore and Stepdaughter Elaine Schweikarth, both of Murrysville, PA. Daughters-in law Carleen Jackson of Leo, IN and Diane Jackson of New Carlisle, OH. 4 Grandsons, 8 step grandchildren, 6 great grandchildren, 12 step great grandchildren. Sisters Avalon (Richard) Miller of Bellefontaine and Mary Ann Karg of West Liberty.
She is preceded in death by sons Michael Kim Jackson and Randy Kyle Jackson. Sister Georgetta Matlock, Brothers-in-law LeRoy Karg and Steve Matlock.
A special Thank You to Putnam County Hospice for their wonderful care of Sandra and to Nurse Stacia and the staff at Fox Run Manor of Findlay.

A memorial service for Sandra and Bill will be held Saturday Jan. 4, 2024 at Zanesfield United Methodist Church 2880 Main St Zanesfield, OH 43360. Calling hours: 12:00pm; memorial service 1:00pm; interment will immediately follow the service; meal to follow at the Zanesfield United Church.
