Sandra Kimmel Obituary
SANDRA KIMMEL
LIMA — Sandra Elizabeth Kimmel (Sandy), 77, passed away December 5, 2014 at St. Rita's Medical Center.
She is survived by her husband of 52 years, Ronald Kimmel, and her two sons, David (Ruth) Kimmel of Cincinnati and Michael (Heather) Kimmel of Cleveland. She is also survived by four granddaughters, Celeste, Amber, Anna, and Charlotte.
Sandy was born April 1, 1937 in Springfield, Vermont to Herbert and Grace Bysshe. She was a member of Lima Baptist Temple for 27 years and an active member of the choir. She was also a lifelong learner and completed her associate's degree in nursing at the age of 53 and practiced as a registered nurse for over twenty years.
She was preceded in death by her sister Beverly.
Services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, December 9 at Lima Baptist Temple. Friends may call on Monday, December 8, from 6-8 p.m. at Chiles-Laman Funeral and Cremation Services Shawnee Chapel and December 9, from 10-11 a.m. at Lima Baptist Temple. Memorial contributions in lieu of flowers may be made to Lima Baptist Temple Music Ministry or to Baptist Mid Missions. Condolences may be expressed at chiles-lamanfh.com.

Our family has been blessed to have known Sandy Kimmel as family since the marriage of David Kimmel & Ruth Bartholomew. We will miss her, especially when we celebrate the holidays, since that is when she and Ron were usually with us to share their love and friendship.

Although I only was privileged to spend a few hours with Sandy on two separate occasions here in my home, she endeared herself to me immediately. We developed a quick friendship. So sorry to hear about Sandy's passing. We worked together at Lost Creek Care Center. I had a huge fear of needles and she helped me get over that fear. She was a great lady, always had a smile on her face and was very sweet. She will be missed...
