Memorial services for Sandra "Sandy" G. Lautenschlager will be held at a later date. The Price-McElroy Funeral in Kenton is assisting the family with the arrangements.
Sandra passed away on Wednesday, July 16, 2025, at Logan Acres in Bellefontaine. She was born on November 09, 1938, in Bellefontaine to the late Byron and June (Houchin) Osborn. She married Phillip Lautenschlager on May 10, 1959, and he survives in Belle Center. She had a deep & loyal love for her husband Phillip & enjoyed 66 years of married life by his side on their farm.
Also surviving are 4 children; Karin Lautenschlager of Merritt Island, Florida, Phillip (Tina) Lautenschlager II of Belle Center, Lisa (Rodney) Evans of Harrod, Susan (Thomas) Beale of Belle Center, sister, Ruth Daley of Lima, 2 brothers; Philip Gregory Osborn of Columbus, Michael (Rhonda) Osborn of Bluffton, SC, and several nieces and nephews. She was "MeMe" to 7 grandchildren, 17 great grandchildren,1 great-great grandchild on the way.
She was preceded in death by 3 sisters, Barbara Ann Taylor, Shelley Osborn, Michelle Burkett, and a brother, Richard Osborn.
Sandra was a 1956 graduate from Roundhead High School. After graduation she went on to Northwestern School of Commerce where she received her Secretarial Degree.
She retired from Ag Credit after 18 years of service.
Sandra had an immense love of books & enjoyed the long-distance relationships she formed with her book club. She had a soft heart for animals, especially the stray cats that showed up to the farm. She was an avid Ohio State Buckeyes football fan & once traveled to a National Championship game. Sandra also was very creative & had a talent for interior decorating, especially for the holidays. One of her favorite pastimes was watching wildlife from her favorite chair.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations in Sandra's honor may be made to the Hardin County Humane Society, James Cancer Research Hospital, or Universal Home Health and Hospice.
