LIMA -- Sharon Kay Nusbaum 81, passed away Thursday, May 4, 2023 at St. Rita's Medical Center, Lima, Ohio.
Her family… She was born December 7, 1941 to Larrick Philip Litten and E. Mae (Anderson) Litten who preceded her in death. On June 25, 1960 she married Willard J. Nusbaum who preceded her in death. Sharon is survived by 2 daughters, Kelly (Michael) Richards of Elida and Dina (Steve) Tadena of Pandora and 2 sons, David (Kristy) of Elida and Matthew (Heather) of Columbus Grove. Also surviving are 11 grandchildren, Jay (Jennifer) Tadena, Nicholas Tadena, Seth Tadena, Maegan (Brian) Richards Mosier, Trevor (Ashley) Richards, Alexandria Nusbaum, Gabriella Nusbaum, Darik (Bethany) Thomas, Sammy Nusbaum, Madison Nusbaum and Willard Nusbaum. Sharon is also survived by 7 great grandchildren, Emery Markey, Alorah Cruz, Eleanor Tadena, Max Mosier, Samuel Tadena, Atticus Richards and Daveth Thomas.
Sharon was preceded in death by her sister, Ruby (Litten) Rimer.
Her legacy…Sharon was employed at the Vaughnsville, Ohio post office which she retired from after 38 years. She was a member of the Gomer Congregational Church and was a graduate of Vaughnsville High School and Northwestern Business School. Sharon loved the farm and being a farm wife. She loved cooking for her family and friends. Sharon was a passionate OSU football fan, loved playing cards, loved to travel and was an avid gardener. Sharon was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother.
Farewell Services…Visitation will be Sunday, May 7 from 2-6 at Hartman Sons Funeral Home, Columbus Grove. A Celebration of Life will be held at 11 a.m.on May 8 at Gomer Congregational Church, Gomer Ohio with Pastor Maurice Dunn officiating.
A private burial will take place at a later date.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Gomer Congregational Church or to the Vaughnsville Community Center, Vaughnsville, Ohio.
