LIMA -- Stephen C. "Steve" Peyton, 70, of Lima, passed away at 5:30 PM on Wednesday, June 12, 2024 at his residence.
He was born August 26, 1953 in Zanesville, OH to Ed and Betty (Gore) Peyton, who both preceded him in death.
Steve had work for various auto dealerships through the years. Family and friends meant everything to him. He had a way of making everyone feel special with his kindness and humor. He will be missed by all that knew him.
He is survived by his four sisters Sue Peyton, Linda Morrison, Sally (Dick Ankeny) Peyton, all of Lima and Judi Smith of Van Wert. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews and their families that he truly adored and was so proud of.
As per his wishes, his cremains will be scattered in Saugatuck, Michigan that he always said was his happy place.
Arrangements have been entrusted to Chiles-Laman Funeral & Cremation Services, Shawnee Chapel.

I remember Steve from his days working at Lima Auto Mall. He was always friendly, courteous and very professional. I am sorry to hear of his passing.
