STEVE MORMAN
COLUMBUS GROVE – Steve P. Morman, 61, of Columbus Grove died 3:00 a.m. Thursday, February 19, 2015 at St. Rita's Medical Center, Lima.
He was born May, 10, 1953 in Lima to Paul and Irene (Kaufman) Morman. His father is deceased and his mother survives in Ottawa. On September 5, 1986, he married Patti Meyer who survives in Columbus Grove.
Survivors also include his children: Josh Morman of Lima, Jason R. (Sandra) Morman of Findlay, Derek (Jeff LeBlanc) Morman of Elida, Kris (Alexandria) Sargent of Columbus Grove, Karmen (Jason) Busick of Columbus Grove, and Riley (Emily) Morman of Cary, North Carolina; 10 grandchildren: Sierra and Levi Morman, Burgundy Bower, Mirand and A. J. Brown, Dakota, Dylan, and Brock Sargent, and Robby and Katie Busick; 2 great grandchildren: Eli Hyde and Draven Witt; and 6 brothers and sisters: Debra (Martin) Kuhlman of New Cleveland, Bill (Lynn) Morman of Ottawa, Bob (Peg) Morman of Ottawa, Chuck (Sylvia) Morman of Leipsic, Ann Morman of Findlay, and Amy (Scott) Smith of Hilliard. He was preceded in death by a granddaughter: Kierra Morman; and a brother: Jeff Morman.
Steve worked at Philips in Ottawa and later at Cardinal Health in Findlay. He was a member of St. Anthony's Catholic Church, Columbus Grove and Knights of Columbus, Columbus Grove. Steve enjoyed collecting collectables, flea markets, fishing the Blanchard River, throwing horse shoes, and especially spending time with his grandchildren. Steve gave the Gift of Life by being an organ/tissue donor.
A Mass of Christian Burial will begin 10:30 a.m. Monday, February 23, 2015 at St. Anthony's Catholic Church, Columbus Grove with Fr. Tom Extejt officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. Visitation will be Sunday 2 to 8 p.m. and Monday 9 a.m. till time of service at Heitmeyer Funeral Home, Columbus Grove where a scripture service will begin at 5 p.m. Sunday.
