LIMA -- Steven Christopher Lawson, age 55, went to be with the Lord on April 24, 2025.
Steven was born on August 10, 1969, in Lima, OH, to Larry J. and Marilyn L. (Lee) Lawson. His mother preceded him in death, and his father survives him in Lima, OH.
In his own words, Steven always wanted "to help people" from a young age. He accomplished this by becoming a police officer for Elida and then later a corrections officer at Oakwood Correctional Institution. He also loved his dogs very much. Steven will be missed by many.
In addition to his mother, he was preceded in death by his grandfather, James C. Lawson, and his grandmother, Alice E. Lawson.
Services will be held at a later date. Pastor Jim Baker will officiate the service.

I'll always remember Steve's humor from Lima Senior DECA, when he often brought me to near tears from laughing. One of the most memorable people I could call a friend back then. My sincere condolences to his family.
